William Jefferson "Jeff" Stafford

Sylvania – William Jefferson “Jeff” Stafford, age 54, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro, GA. He was born in Bulloch County to Joyce Kirby Rickert of Statesboro, GA and the late George Robert Stafford. He worked as a farmer and lived off the land.

Survivors: Sons: William Stafford and Warren Stafford (Kati Purvis), both of Sylvania and Brian Stafford (Rebecca Odom) of Ellabell, GA; Brothers: Steven Rickert of Statesboro, GA and Maurice (Kim) Underwood of Sylvania; Special Friend: Diana S. Purvis of Sylvania; Step-Mother: Gale Rigdon of Sylvania; Aunt: Maudine S. Findley of Sylvania; Uncle and Aunt: Warren “Spike” & Christie Stafford of Sylvania; 5 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Service: Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Carroll Gay officiating.  Burial following.

Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Pierce, Keith Bragg, Ricky Bragg, Clifford Bragg, John Sousa, Matt Sheffield, J.P. Sousa, Franklin Bragg, Christopher Bragg and D.J. Purvis.
