TRESSIE ELAINE HIGGINS DOCTOR

Tressie Elaine Doctor, age 77, of Sylvania and widow of Henry Tallchief Doctor, Sr., passed away on Sunday Morning, June 16, 2024, at Pineview Nursing Home, Sylvania.

Tressie was born on July 15, 1946, to the late Roy G. Higgins & Viola N. Owens Caldwell in Escalon, CA. Tressie received an associate degree in nursing and was a Home Health Nurse for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, going for rides and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tressie also enjoyed going to yard sales. If there was a blanket it didn't matter what it looked like, she had to have it.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Tressie was preceded in death by, her brother Don Higgins, and grandchildren Kateline Doctor, and Bethany Huff.

Those who will cherish her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Mike Smith; sons and daughters in law, David Doctor, Henry & Barbara Doctor, Harley Tallchief, John Doctor, and Donald & Charlene Doctor; sister, Peggy Higgins; brothers Ray Ellis, Tom Higgins, and Roy Higgins; her 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday June 24, 2024 at Little Horse Creek Baptist Church at 3 P.M.
