Terri Bazemore Chadwick

Mount Pleasant, SC (formerly of Sylvania) – Terri Bazemore Chadwick, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. She was born in Sylvania and had worked as the Executive Secretary for the Mount Pleasant Fire Department, who were like her extended family, for nearly 12 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years: Robert Glenn Chadwick; Parents: Ernest and Helen Bazemore; Brothers: Robert Bazemore, Johnny Bazemore and Ernie Bazemore, Jr.

Terri was a proud mother to two sons, Colonel Rick (Leah) and Matthew Chadwick. She was the stepmother to Robert (Debbie), Sharon McKelvey (Alan), and Brendan (Romi). She was blessed with two granddaughters, Ashlyn and Anna. She had six step grandchildren: Josh (Caroline), Geoffrey, Tori, Mary, Emma, and Caroline. She is also survived by a sister, Sandra (Curtis) Brannen, and sister-in-law, Vera Bazemore, both of Sylvania, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Terri was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She valued her time with her family and she was always up for – and usually initiating – an adventure. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, talking with her sons, being silly with her grands, and keeping everyone entertained.

A celebration of Terri’s life was held on Monday, August 17, in the Chapel at Seacoast Church, Mount Pleasant Campus, on Long Point Road.

A private graveside service will be held at Farmdale Baptist Church Cemetery at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 with Rev. Bryce Jeffcoat officiating. Visitation will be held in the social hall of Farmdale Baptist Church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 941 Houston Northcutt Boulevard, Suite 203, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, 29464, honoring the memory of her late husband’s battle with cancer.
