SHIRLEY SANDRA CREWS HILL

Shirley Hill, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. Shirley was a stay-at-home mom until her children were grown, she worked in insurance for more than 30 years. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed cooking for her family. Everyone she knew loved her fried chicken, biscuits, and macaroni and cheese.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Hill; her parents, George Mills and Eva Scott Crews; her brothers, Carl Crews, Gene Crews, George M. Crews, Jr., and George L. Crews.

Survivors include her children, Amy (Benji) Gay and Allen Hill; her siblings, Deborah Rooker, Dr.  Harold R. Crews, and Thomas Crews; her grandchildren Jessica Hill and Christopher Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10AM at Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service beginning at 11AM in the Chapel of Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home.

Burial will take place at a later date.
