RONALD PARROTT

Sylvania – CPO Ronald “Ron” Elton Parrott, USN (Ret), age 78, of Sylvania, widower of Linda Kay Rackley Parrott, passed away Tuesday evening, July 19, 2022, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born in Savannah, GA to the late couple Rodney Parrott and Doris Waldhour Parrott on July 30, 1943. Ron was a veteran and served for our country in U.S. Navy working as a Torpedoman. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Weaponry Chief Petty Officer and from Hughes Aircraft Company/ Raytheon as a Senior Electronics Engineer. After his retirement from the U.S. Navy and Raytheon he enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and traveling the United States.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by his daughter, Deana Parrott; and brothers Rodney Parrott and Dennis Parrott.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Dawn P. Fagre; sister, Brenda Parrott; brother, Russell Parrott; grandchild, David (Jaimie) Arnold; and great-grandchildren, Emma Arnold, Trace Arnold, and Harper Arnold.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Rev. Cail Pressey will be officiating the funeral service at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, July 23, 2022, in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel; interment, with full military honors, will follow at Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
