Newington – Paul Joseph Leeder, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at his home under the care of his loving family and Ogeechee Area Hospice. He was born in San Antonio, TX to the late Henry & Willie Joe Jones Leeder. He worked as a commercial artist and was a member of Blue Spring United Methodist Church. He was also a 32nd degree Mason with Lodge #301 and loved anything about the great outdoors. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Margie Bevill Leeder, his sister, Marlene Leeder Riceberg and his brother, Kenneth Leeder.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Bernette Leeder and Sam Morrison of Sylvania and Robyn Leeder and Brian Eouzan of Charleston, SC; Sister: Sharon Leeder Kendall of NC; Brothers: Richard Leeder of SC and Wayne Leeder of VA; Grandchildren: Benjamin & Kathryn Counts of Sylvania and Sage Eouzan of Charleston, SC; Great-Grandchildren: Paul Counts of Sylvania and Chloe Williams of Statesboro, GA; A host of Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Friday, August 20, 2021, at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Friday, August 20, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Dixon, Jr. officiating. Burial following at Blue Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Benjamin Counts, Sage Eouzan, Sam Morrison, Richard Leeder, Wayne Leeder, Kerry Grovenstein, Tommy Counts and Woody Smith. Honorary Pallbearers: Brian Eouzan, Rusty Mallard, Donny Mallard, Kerry Mallard, Jerry Shannon, Lewis Grovenstein, Horace Black, Ricky Seckinger and Olin Boyd.
