PATRICIA "PAT" GAIL POWELL JANUCHOWSKI

Patricia “Pat” Gail Powell Januchowski, age 90, of Newington, and widow of Leonard “Len” Joseph Januchowski, passed away on Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2024, at her residence with family by her side.

Pat was born in Coral Gables, Florida, on April 17, 1934, to the late couple, Arthur Walter Powell, Sr., and Dorothy Lorene Whittlesey Powell. She retired as a civilian employee of the United States Air Force and was an auxiliary member of the VFW in Alaska. Pat was a member of Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Sylvania, GA.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband Leonard “Len” Joseph Januchowski, her daughter Lenisa Gay Gilmore, her brothers Arthur Walter Powell Jr. and Jackson Lee Lewis as well as her sister Marjorie Frances Bryant.

Survivors include her daughters, Dorothy Frances Kay and Susan Elaine Olsen; sons, Gary Marvin Januchowski and Eric Powell Januchowski; sister, Marilyn Smith; her 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church from 10 to 11 AM on Friday May 10, 2024, a Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Father Lou Lussier will commence at 11 AM.

Interment will be held in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia on May 15, 2024, at 1:30 PM.
