Patricia (Skrine) Mcbride

Patricia Skrine McBride, age 78, formerly of Martinez, GA passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at Silver Bluff Grove Senior Living in Aiken, SC.

Mrs. McBride was born in Portal, GA on November 11, 1944, the daughter of the late John and Clara Bell Skrine. She was a graduate of Portal High School and after attending technical school began her career with Georgia Power. She began her career with the power company as a secretary and worked her way up to Human Resources until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Martinez where she helped with the church nursery. She enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, loved gardening and making people laugh and smile, but above all, she loved her family.

Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 45 years, Lahue McBride and their daughter, Holly McBride; and brother, Hubert Skrine; and uncle and aunt, Jimmy & Linda Skrine. She is survived by her son, Brandon McBride (Tracie); Holly's fiancé, Jordan Barrett; brother, Toby Skrine; sister-in-law, Dixie Skrine; and grandchildren, Grace, Caroline, Connor, and Callie.

A Celebration of Patricia's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 30, 2023 at Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home, 107 Singleton Avenue, Sylvania, GA 30467. Burial will follow at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Scott Skrine, JT Skrine. Ricky Hawkins, Ike Stacy, Zane Jordan, and Elizabeth Giles.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Harvest Food Bank.
