Mary "Earlene" Forehand

Earlene Lane Forehand passed at her residence on February 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jenkins County on June 2, 1941 to Earl and Mary Marsh Lane. Mrs. Forehand retired from the Torrington Company after twenty five years of service. After retirement, Earlene developed a passion for collecting and restoring antiques as well as camping. She was a member of The Hiltonia Trinity Church where she served a Treasurer for several years. She also played an active role in remodeling the church sanctuary, which she enjoyed immensely.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Lewis “Bill” Lane.

Earlene is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Forehand; her two sons, Randy Lane Sr. (Deborah) and Mike Markovcic (Frankie). Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Randy Lane Jr., Lee Lane (LaTisha), and Cala M. Collins (Les). Additional survivors include her great-grandchildren: Trent Lane, Caleb Lane, Jaylen Lane, Ayden Lane and Lauren Kate Collins; step-children Teerah Rowell (Bruce), Jeremy Forehand and step-grandchildren, Justin Rowell, Bradley Rowell, and Kinslee Forehand; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Lane.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, Katrina Evans and Deborah Cave, and Ogeechee Area Hospice.

The family will receive friends beginning at 3pm at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with a Graveside service beginning at 3:30pm on February 14, 2025. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Ogeechee Area Hospice.
