Lois Cleland

Sylvania - Lois Cleland, age 62, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Optim Medical Center-Screven in Sylvania. She was born March 24, 1959, in Screven County, GA to the late Henry Earl & Ruby Lee Bolton Cleland and was a member of Red Bluff Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, enjoyed riding horses and once operated the B and B Riding Club.  She sat on her front porch often and looked at her flowers and loved to go to the river with her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Carl Cleland and Henry David Cleland.

Survivors: Husband: Stuart Byrne of Sylvania; Daughters: Lois Marie Waters and Dana Ann Burke (Austin Hendley), all of Sylvania; Sister: Anne Laura Cleland Weathers of Sylvania; Brother: Richard Cleland of Sylvania; Grandchildren: T. J. Knight and Amber Ambrocio, Jarron Knight, Hayden Burke and Riley Landing, all of Sylvania; Great-Grandchild: Elijah Knight of Sylvania; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Red Bluff Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Jenkins officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers: Terry Knight, Ronnie Burke, Travis Waters, Robbie Eugene Finch, II,  Wayne Williams and John Willie Rosier. Honorary Pallbearers:  T. J. Knight and Jarron Knight.
