Lester M. "Buddy" Williams

Sylvania – Lester M. “Buddy” Williams, age 76, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021, at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and his loving family. He was born in Millen, Ga to the late Eddie M. & Sue Nell Jenkins Williams.  He worked as a motorcycle mechanic and was also retired from Torrington Company, where he worked in the press department for 18 years. He was a member of Hiltonia United Methodist Church and was an Honorably Discharged U. S. Air Force Veteran after serving for 3 years during the Viet Nam Era. He enjoyed being with his family and loved animals, racing motorcycles and mini stock cars.

Survivors: Wife: Marcia Forehand Williams of Sylvania; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Jill Williams & Ted Lariscy, Jr. of Sylvania and Jan Williams & Dale Collins of Burke County, GA; Sister and Brother-In-Law: Renee & Joe Oglesby of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Jacob Lariscy and Jancy Lariscy, both of Sylvania; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Graveside Memorial Service: Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Bascom Cemetery with Rev. Ted Lariscy, Jr.  and Chaplin David Colburn officiating.
