KAREN DALE ZEAGLER JOHNSON BEASLEY

SAVANNAH, GA

Karen Zeagler Beasley, age 86, of Sylvania, passed away on Friday morning, March 10, 2023, at Ogeechee Area Hospice – Statesboro.

Karen was born in Millen, Georgia to the late Carnett Zeagler and the late Beatrice Perkins on April 18, 1936. Before retirement, Karen worked over 40 years at Hunt Wesson in Savannah, Georgia.

After retirement, Karen enjoyed being home. She and her late husband, Dolan Johnson purchased their home in the 1956. Karen lived at this address for the next 67 years. She attributed the long stay to being surrounded by great neighbors, who were always loving and caring towards her.

She also enjoyed spending time, in Screven County, where she was raised, with her late husband Johnnie Beasley. Karen and Johnnie were married in 1985, both loved to spend time with family. Many days and weekends over the years were spent enjoying what country life had to offer.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husbands, Dolan Johnson, and Johnnie Beasley; brother, James C. Zeagler and her sister, Wana Z. Hyman.

She is survived by two half-brothers and a sister-in-law, Jerry Johnson, and Jay(Marta) Johnson, many nieces and nephews and their spouses and her beloved in-laws.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Cam Wiggins.
