Judy A Guthrie

Judy A. Guthrie, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Pruitt Health Richmond in Augusta. She was born on March 14, 1934, in Seiotoville, Ohio.

Judy had a passion for auctions, so much so that she owned and operated her own auction house here in Screven County from 1985 until 2022. She also loved to attend auctions besides her own, where she bought many wonderful things over the years. Judy also had a few other jobs that she enjoyed. She worked for many years at the SYS spinning plant, Houses of Flowers florist for 8 years, and the Bilo deli for 2 years. Judy loved her cats, baby girl, and Toot.

Judy is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Ross Guthrie, her son, Jeffery Ray Guthrie, and her beloved cats Patches and Maurice.

Those who cherish Judy's memory are her daughter Joy Smith of Augusta, Ga

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Screven Memorial Cemetery.

Thompson Strickland Waters Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
