Sylvania – John Stanley Joyner, age 77, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Optim Primary Care - Screven. He was born in Screven County to the late John O. Joyner and Susie Griffin Joyner Owens. He was retired painter, worked in construction and was a member of Jackson Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Joyner and David Joyner.
Survivors: Wife: Margaret Milton Joyner of Sylvania, GA; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Connie & J.V. Moore of Millen, GA; Sons and Daughters-In-Law: John Stanley Jr. & Emily Joyner of West Monroe, LA, Gary Paul Joyner, Joseph Joyner and Robert Christian Joyner, all of Sylvania; Brother: Jimmie Joyner of Sylvania; 10 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home with Rev. Blake Hicks officiating. Burial following at Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery.
