JOHN EZRA BRAGG
John “Johnny” Ezra Bragg, Augusta, GA, 71, passed away November 4, 2020.
He was born in Savannah, GA to the late William Watson and Helen Saxon Bragg. Johnny worked in construction as a framer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and doing carpentry work.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Padgett Watson Bragg.
He is survived by his son, John Henry Bragg; daughter, Christine Renee Kirby; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Kirby; grandson, Austin Epperley and sister, Brenda Bragg Krist. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
BRENDA HELEN BRAGG KRIST
Brenda Helen Bragg Krist of Deland, Florida passed into God's loving arms on Wednesday evening, March 16, 2022, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Born in Sylvania, Georgia, August 27, 1952, she was the daughter of the late William Watson Bragg and Helen Saxon Bragg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Thomas “Tommy" Frederick Krist and brothers, John Ezra Bragg and Padgett Watson Bragg.
Brenda was a very talented artist and a patron of the arts. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design and completed her Graphic Artist Degree after moving to Florida. During her tenure as a graphic artist for Hawaiian Tropic, Brenda won a corporate wide artist competition and was the featured creator/artist for the stage backdrop at the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Contest in Hawaii. Brenda loved to laugh and spend time with friends. She enjoyed reading, music, dancing, walking on the beach, and traveling extensively. Her love of animals was lifelong, and she opened her heart to many, but especially loved her dog, Maggie and two cats, Ben & Jerry.
Brenda leaves behind a cousin, George Michael Carrigan (wife Donna) of North Carolina; nieces, Christine Bragg Kirby of Augusta, Georgia, Sophie and Lana Krist of Longwood, Florida and nephew, John Bragg of Evans, Georgia. She also leaves an innumerable amount of friends and neighbors that were deeply touched by her friendship and her love.
Donations can be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
A graveside service will be held for Johnny and Brenda on Saturday, August 27th, 2022, at 1:00 P.M., in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Food and fellowship will follow at Wall’s Restaurant, located at 402 Mims Rd, Sylvania, GA.
The family asks that attendees/friends come comfortably dressed for a hot summer’s day.
