JOHN WENDELL COVINGTON

John Wendell “Cov” Covington, age 61, of Sylvania, and husband of Marilyn Covington, passed away on Friday morning, September 9, 2022, at Augusta University Medical Center.

John was born in Virginia Beach, VA, on May 23, 1961, to the late couple John Wesley Covington and Barbara Francey Covington. John worked as an operations supervisor at the nuclear power plant, Plant Vogtle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, standing by the fire telling stories and hanging out by the lake.

In addition to his wife, Marilyn Covington, John is survived by his daughters and spouses, April Covington & Randy “Lucky” Dickey, Jr, of Ortonville, MI, and Jessica & Jeremy Rosier; son, Jonathon “Bubba” Covington; sisters, Becky Carter, Jennifer Underwood, Rachel Covington, Wanda Berry and Bonnie Satterwaite; brother, Patrick Covington; grandson, Jameson Rosier; several nieces and nephews and many lifelong best friends. He will be missed by so many.

The family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. at 320 Pine Needle Circle, Newington, GA 30446.
