Millen, GA– James Paul Williams, Sr., age 74, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Charlie Norwood V.A. Medical Center in Augusta, GA. He was born in Screven County to the late Robbie Lee Williams & Lillian White Williams Broxton and was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Hiltonia Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge #301 F & AM and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife: Brenda Lee Moore Williams; Brothers: George H. Williams and David L. Williams.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Angela and Matt Hamilton of Guyton, GA and Paula and James Wobbleton of Ahoskie, NC; Sons and Daughters-In-Law: James Paul, Jr. & Sherri Williams of Sylvania and Jesse Wayne & Miranda Williams of Winton, NC; Brothers: James Floyd Williams of Hiltonia and Bobby L. Williams of Fernandina Beach, FL; Companion: Lisa Moore of Millen; 8 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. Bascom Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Sirmons officiating. Burial following.
Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Masonic Lodge #301, which will be doing Masonic rites during the service.
Military honors will be accorded by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7116 of Sylvania.
