James Edward Waters

Rocky Ford - James Edward "Beetle" Waters, age 57, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Optim Medical Center – Screven in Sylvania.  He was born in Millen, GA to the late Julian Carl Waters and Mildred Lambert Baker, who survives him.  He was a member of McDonald Baptist Church.  He was an employee of Smith Farms of Rocky Ford and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, as well as being outdoors and working on old trucks. Besides his father, he was preceded in death his brother, Wayne Waters.

Survivors: Daughter: Brooke Waters and her fiancé, Chris Bragg, of Sylvania; Mother and Step-Father: Mildred Lambert & Donald Baker of Sardis, GA; Sisters and Brothers-in-Law: Mary W. Williams of Hiltonia, Lynn W. Becton of Sardis, GA, Sue & Don Brower, and Millie & James Bragg, all of Sylvania; Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Randy & Joy Waters of McMinnville, OR, and Ray & Kim Waters of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Kolby Bragg and Brenleigh Bragg, both of Sylvania and Makayla Mallard of Springfield, GA; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside Service: Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dent Wiggins officiating.  Burial following. Visitation will be at the cemetery after the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Smith Farms of Rocky Ford.
