HELEN STINSON

Helen Stinson, age 82, of Sylvania, widow of William C. Stinson, Sr., passed away on Sunday evening, July 24, 2022, at Optim Medical Center - Screven.

Helen was born in Screven County, March 6, 1940, to the late couple Wilbur Lee, Sr. and Mazie Clayton Lee. Before retirement, she worked in hospitality for 30 years at the Raccoon Holler Campground in Glendale Springs, North Carolina.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilbur Lee, Jr., and Warren Lee.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael “Mike” & Mary Ann Godbee of Garfield, GA and Alan & Mary Beth Godbee of Sylvania, GA; sisters, Dorothy Wainwright of Savannah, GA, Linda Hendrix of Warner Robbins, GA and Dennis & Sue Cooley of Eatonton, GA; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and several cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
