Freddie Wayne Overstreet

Sylvania – Freddie Wayne Overstreet, age 66, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA.  He was born in Screven County, GA to Exodyne B. Johnson and the late Fred Overstreet. He was retired from the City of Sylvania after 33 years, having worked as the utility director. He was the owner/operator of Street Septic Service and was a member of Nanny Goat Hunting Club.

Survivors: Wife: Vickie B. Overstreet of Sylvania; Daughter and Son-In-Law: Stacy O. and Kenneth Sanders of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-In-Law: Freddie W. “Bubba”, Jr. and Laura Y. Overstreet of Sylvania; Mother and Stepfather: Exodyne and Frank Johnson, Sr. of Sylvania; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Al & Penni Overstreet of Sylvania; Step-Sister and Brother-In-Law: Johnnie J. & Glenn Reddick of Sylvania; Step-Brother and Sister-In-Law: Frank, Jr. and Lee Johnson of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Grant Yarber, Emree Yarber and Berkley Overstreet, all of Sylvania; Several Nieces and Nephews.

In memory of Freddie, the family requests that white t-shirts, jeans and work boots be worn to his services.

Visitation: Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Graveside Service: Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Cam Wiggins and Rev. Kevin Rountree officiating.

Pallbearers: Len Mock, Russell Brower, Lowell Hagan, Donnie Johnson, Sam Bostic and Tyrone Perry. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Nanny Goat Hunting Club.
