Edell Jenkins Oliver

Sylvania – Edell Jenkins Oliver, age 94, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Syl-View Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sylvania. She was born in Screven County, GA to the late Walter & Kathleen Odom Jenkins. She was retired having worked as a machinist for Torrington Company and was a member of Sylvania First Methodist Church. She had a great joy of gardening and sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Herman L. Oliver, her twin sister, Sue Nell J. Williams, along with 2 brothers and 3 other sisters.

Survivors: Daughter and Son-In-Law: Renee & Joe Oglesby of Sylvania; Nephew and his spouse: Lester M. & Marcia Williams of Hiltonia; Brother & Sister-In-Law: Bonnell & Jo Helen Jenkins of Thomson, GA; Grandchildren: Josh & Kim Oglesby and Tyler & Ashley Oglesby, all of Sylvania; 4 Great-Grandchildren; Several other Nieces and Nephews.

A visitation will be held at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home from 10:15 until 11:00 AM. All Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing rules are to be adhered to during this service.

A funeral service will be held at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lester Jenkins officiating. All Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing rules are to be adhered to during this service.

A private graveside service will be held. She will be interred at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
