Melbourne, FL - Diane Kimbrell Revesz, age 72, passed on 10 February after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She is preceded in death by her daughter Flora Revesz, her sister Judy Strange, her mother Marian Kimbrell, and her father Herman Kimbrell.
Along with her family life as a spouse to a military officer and the numerous relocations that it involved, she was an avid volunteer. She served as the president of the military wife’s club in La Maddalena, Sardinia, as a member of Habitat of Humanity resale group in Merritt Island, Florida, as a member of the garden club in Sylvania, Georgia, as a volunteer at the Suntree Viera Public Library in Melbourne, Florida, and as a friend of Bill W and as a sponsor. She also worked as a private secretary at a law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, as a restaurant hostess in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as a receptionist at Courtney Springs Village in Merritt Island, Florida, as an editor for a military weekly publication in Silver Springs, Maryland, and as an embarkation / debarkation agent for Carnival Cruise Lines in Cape Canaveral, Florida. She and Bill also became world travelers after his retirement in 2001 and visited countries in five of the seven continents.
Diane is survived by her husband Bill Revesz, her son Trent Revesz, her granddaughter Taytum Revesz, her sister Angie Ferguson, her brother Arnold Kimbrell and his wife Margret, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Sylvania First United Methodist Church. Celebration of Life afterwards at Sylvania First United Methodist Church Social Hall. Burial will follow at Ellis Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery.
