BRYAN KEITH BLOUIN

Bryan k. Blouin, 59, of Sylvania, GA, passed away Friday afternoon, April 28, 2023, doing what he loved, boating and fishing on the Savannah River. Bryan was born in New Orleans to parents Edmund and Doris Blouin.  He grew up watching his talented father paint in his French Quarter studio.  Like his father, he was very creative and loved music, especially jazz.

Bryan left home at 14.  He built his own houseboat in the swamp. An avid hunter and fisherman, he survived on fish, gator, shrimp, oysters, deer, dove, and crawdads.  One of his first jobs was at a cabinet shop where he learned, then excelled at woodworking. His master carpentry skills are showcased in many of Charleston & Savannahs finest homes and hotels.  His work was also featured on a few covers of Southern Living.  He was a travelling man and opened custom cabinet shops in many cities such as Charleston, Savannah, Santa Fe, Naples, and New Orleans.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents and beloved older brother, Mike.   He is survived by brothers Edmund (Chuck), Carl, and David; sisters Yvette and Darnella (Dee).  He will be greatly missed by his partner, Penny Sitton.  His surviving children are Bryan & Brandy Fletcher of Cussetta, Christopher & Joseph Blouin of Charleston, and Bonnie Worby of Ohio, and Izabel & Abigail Blouin of Savannah, plus many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. His faithful dogs, Cypress & Cheffa, continue to watch the gate for dad to come home. Rest in peace Bryan.
