BILLIE RUTH DOWD BOLTON

Billie Ruth Dowd Bolton, age 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, September 23, 2023, in Millen, GA. She was born on August 12, 1960, in Savannah, GA. Billie was a friendly and loving person, who took pride and joy in her daughter and her grandchildren. Billie enjoyed spending time at the beach, and especially time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtice Mobley Larisey; father, Judson Bragg; brothers, Joe Dowd, Bobby Dowd; sisters, Gwendolyn F. Dowd Larisey and sisters-in-law, Brenda Bragg, and Sarah Bragg.

Those who will cherish her memory include her daughter, Kathy Bolton; son, John Bolton; grandchildren, Chloe Shay Lynn Larisey, Thomas Bolton; sisters and brother-in-law, Wynette Bragg, Joyce Larisey, Willene & Randy Dickey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Bragg, Judson & Mickey Bragg, Jr., James & Millie Bragg, Toby Bragg, Daniel Dowd, Dalton Dowd, and Marlene Bragg.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Travis Smith will officiate the funeral service that will commence at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel, with interment following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery. After the services there will be a gathering of friends and family held at Walls Diner.
