Sylvania – Betty Sue Williams Joyner, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019, at Landmark Hospital in Savannah, GA. She was born in Screven County to the late Aaron & Marie Bolton Williams. She was a homemaker, member of Union Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Arrie Mae Myers and Janie Burke, and brothers, Hubert Williams, Henry Williams, George Williams and Howard Dean Williams.
Survivors: Husband: Jimmie Joyner, Sr. of Sylvania; Sons: Jimmie Joyner, Jr. and Roger Lee Joyner, both of Sylvania; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Cynthia Lynn & Karl Dietsch of Sylvania and Patricia & Brooks Lord of Statesboro, GA; Sisters and Brother-In-Law: Velma W. Corbin of Cross City, FL and Pearl W. & Jimmy Milton; Brother: Otis Williams of Millen, GA; 13 Grandchildren; Many Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Usher officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Michael Melancon, Corey Hines, Karl Dietsch, Robert Williams, Titus Joyner, James Waters and Stacey Ethridge. Honorary Pallbearers: Glen Davis, Bob Holtzclaw and William G. Howard.
