ANNA HALL BOYD

Sylvania – Anna Gertrude Hall Boyd, age 91, of Sylvania, passed away on Thursday evening, September 29, 2022, with her family by her side, at The Griffin House in Claxton, GA.

Anna was born September 3, 1931, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late couple Robert Shannon Hall, Sr. and Isabelle Katherine Eggers Hall. She was a homemaker and member of the First United Methodist Church of Sylvania, GA.

In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, John Charles Barnes II & Leann B. Barnes; brothers, Robert Shannon Hall, Jr., and John Amherst Hall; grandson, John Charles Barnes III; and her great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Dickens.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Henry Russ “Rusty” & Terri Barnes III, Robert Christopher “Chris” & Karen Boyd and A. Donald “Donny” & Adrienne “A.J.” Boyd Jr., Jr; grandchildren, Tara C. Barnes, Gina & Brian Conway, Abigale “Abby” Boyd, and Blakley Boyd; great-grandchild, Joseph Conway; and her great-great-grandchild Rylee Conway; and her special friend, Shontae Roper and her family.

The family would like to give a special thanks to The Griffin House and Agape Hospice for the love and care they gave Anna during her stay.

A memorial service will be held at the Sylvania First United Methodist Church in Sylvania, GA on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Dorsia A. Atkinson, Jr. officiating.
